New Cleanable Pull Cords

New CA016 pull cords provide a sanitary option.

TekTone®'s newly released CA016 thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) plastic pull cords may be cleaned repeatedly and retain their original strength. By replacing old braided cords, a facility will improve the cleanliness of bath, shower and emergency switch locations. This change will result in a safer environment for patients and staff. Many facilities have asked for this option, and some are even making these cords a requirement.

Other features and benefits of TekTone®'s TPU plastic cords include:

  • Excellent abrasion & stain resistance.
  • Outstanding all-temperature performance.
  • Very good tear strength & high elasticity.
  • Practical and hygienic solution that is appreciated by nurses, housekeeping staff, maintenance personnel and infection control professionals.
  • Designed for hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, retirement homes and other facilities where the prevention of cross-infection is important.

The TPU plastic pull cord is now standard with SF337C, SF340B, SF381, SF437, SF440, SF481, SF483 and SF531ES emergency switches; IR155B, IR145B, IR318B, IR345C, IR418P5 and IR445P5 pull-cord stations; and SF529ES wireless assistance stations.

Replace existing braided nylon pull cords on emergency switches and wireless assistance stations with the new TPU plastic pull cord

LED Dome Lights Feature a New Look & Increased Efficiency

Available for all of our nurse call systems

TekTone®'s newly released LED lights provide visual indication of calls originating from patient, staff, duty, bath, emergency, presence and code call stations. Patient priority and staff presence are indicated on domes with LEDs in two colors (red and white) or four colors (amber, green, red and white). When used with a patient or staff station, the light indicates all calls originating from that room. When used with a multipurpose or duty station, the light may be used as a zone light.

Other features and benefits of TekTone® LED call lights include:

  • UL® 1069 Listed.
  • No bulb replacement equals more savings for facilities—LED life is 10× that of an incandescent bulb.
  • Excellent visibility when LEDs are lit—bright and easily visible from all angles.
  • Unobtrusive when LEDs are off—attractive new curved face has a single frosted white lens to blend into any décor.
  • Energy efficient—LED lamps remain cool to the touch, and since they convert nearly all their input electricity into light instead of producing heat, LEDs use 16× less electricity than incandescent bulbs.
  • Durable—LED lights have no fragile filament or tube, and are resistant to heat, cold and shock.
  • Simplified plug-in connectors.
  • Mounts to single- or dual-gang ring.
  • Drop-in replacement for non-LED predecessors.

Tek-CARE®400 Nurse Call System

Tek-CARE400 nurse call system master stationTekTone® is pleased to introduce the latest addition to our nurse call lineup: the Tek-CARE®400. While the Tek-CARE®400 is one of the most advanced nurse call systems on the market, our primary focus was to create a system that is both nurse- and patient-friendly.

Choices abound with the Tek-CARE®400. The system includes both a master with 10" color LCD touchscreen and a master with a 4×40-character vacuum fluorescent display (VFD)*, as well as many station and peripheral choices. Each system can be programmed to meet the needs and goals of your facility, while providing you with your choice of a centralized or a decentralized system configuration. The Tek-CARE®400 runs on a proprietary network and uses no personal computers (which are prone to lockups and viruses).

Tek-CARE400 integrates with TekTone's Tek-PAGING pocket pager system The pleasant call tones provided at the nurse master station lower ambient noise levels, via adjustable volume and tone styles. Full duplex audio ensures that no word is missed, increasing patient satisfaction.

Nurses benefit from the additional mobility provided by pagers that can be integrated into the system. Combined with Tek-MMARS® management and reporting software, the Tek-CARE®400 will provide you with the most efficient and nurse-friendly system on the market today.

New features include attend and pre-announce tones. The included configuration software simplifies system programming and customization, via a laptop computer. The system is UL® and cUL® Listed. Patient stations and patient call peripherals have been tested by UL® to 30Kv ESD.

Tek-CARE400's LCD master station includes a touchscreen & pull-out keyboard The NC401TS touchscreen master provides both a graphical icon view and a list view of the unit, and can display calls from the entire facility. Additional screens are easily accessed for reassigning devices at shift change. The master includes a built-in keyboard for creating custom pages and a membrane keypad for the most commonly used functions.

Both of the Tek-CARE®400 nurse master stations have small footprints, increasing the amount of space available at the nurses’ station. They are spill resistant, centrally powered and completely self-contained, without the use of an unreliable personal computer.

Tek-CARE400's VFD master stationThe NC401VFD master displays menus and up to four simultaneous calls on four brightly lit, easily read lines. The membrane keypad includes 20 programmable buttons that can be set for a variety of options, such as room assignments or system features.*

Tek-CARE400 offers two styles of patient station The Tek-CARE®400 offers two styles of patient station. The first style includes a DIN jack and a 1/4" auxiliary input jack. The second style includes a DIN jack, plus additional buttons that can be programmed for such functions as staff emergency or staff presence. Dummy plugs are not required in unused jacks.

Full duplex audio plus individual station volume control provide both patients and nurses with communications tailored to meet each patient’s needs. Up to eleven peripheral devices can be connected to each patient station.

Tek-CARE400 offers several styles of corridor light Corridor lights are available in one-, two-, four- and six-bulb configurations. Supervision is optional on the four- and six-bulb versions. LED bulbs are also available.

The Tek-BRIDGE PC integrates the Tek-CARE®400 with a variety of hospital systems. Available software modules include management reporting, telephone interface* and Versus integration.*

The Tek-MMARS® Management Monitoring and Reporting Software monitors the Tek-CARE®400 system, providing detailed information on all system activity. Connect Tek-MMARS® to the facility’s network and reports can be generated from any computer on the network—providing call data quickly to those who need it.

Tek-CARE®400 can also integrate with virtually any wireless telephone system, enabling two-way communication between staff and patients.*

maximize staff efficiencyPagers provide staff with a simple, cost-effective way to increase mobility and productivity—by sending calls to them almost instantaneously. Setting the pagers to vibrate mode greatly reduces noise and virtually eliminates overhead paging.

Tek-CARE®500
Wireless Emergency Call System

The latest in wireless emergency call systems—new from TekTone®!!! Tek-CARE®500 provides senior living facilities with the most advanced security and safety available, giving residents the peace of mind and independence they deserve.

Tek-CARE®500 includes a complete selection of wireless call transmitters—including residents' pendants, emergency switches, smoke detectors, door and window monitors and passive infra-red (PIR) detectors.

Tek-CARE®500's master station computer is the core of the system, keeping track of all transmitters and calls, and sending those calls to staff pagers (when used with the Tek-PAGING® system). The system also maintains resident information—including photos, medical information, and contact information for relatives and physicians. All information is clearly and logically displayed on the flat-panel monitor.

Residents wear waterproof pendants, allowing them the freedom to roam throughout the facility or campus knowing that help is always just a button press away. Place wireless emergency switches in baths and bedrooms for additional call locations.

The PIR detector is a motion detector that can be used as either a call alarm or an automatic check-in device. For example, choose the time period when movement is registered as a morning check-in, to be sure that residents are up and about—without disturbing their privacy.

More Options! Facilities are taking advantage of the full range of features provided by Tek-CARE®500—and asking for more! Our goal is to fulfill those requests, so we're pleased to introduce three new additions to this system.

The SF530 Wireless Call Station with 1/4" call-cord jack gives people who are temporarily bedridden or immobile access to Tek-CARE®500 call functions.

The SF531 Wireless Emergency Call Switch  is an all-in-one version of the SF340B emergency switch and the SF528 wireless transmitter.

The SF529 Wireless Assistance Call and Resident Check-In Switch is an all-in-one version of the SF340B emergency switch and the SF528 wireless transmitter—with the addition of a Resident Check-In button.
